Brenda & Justin
It poured buckets of rain almost the entire day of their wedding.
Thankfully, we had about 40 minutes of sun to do a first look, wedding party and family photos. But seconds before the ceremony started, the skies opened up and it poured for the rest of the day. I learned that I can, in fact, shoot one-handed while holding an umbrella! And Brenda and Justin? I don't even think they noticed. The two of them were SO wrapped up in each other and so happy to get married that not only were they not bothered by the downpour, it was as if they didn't even realize it was raining. You can see this in their portraits from after the ceremony...they're beautiful, but I can take absolutely no credit. I don't think I uttered one posing direction, they were so natural and so focused on each other.
One of my favorite parts of the days watching Brenda and Justin interact with their families...some of my favorite shots of the day are the candid ones of Justin and his sweet Mama! But both Brenda's daughters and Justin's daughter were so happy for them and so supportive...it was so wonderful to witness! And...check out that family portrait...have you ever seen a more beautiful family?! They look like the cover of a magazine...Kardashian-esque, but 10 times better!
Despite the crazy weather, Brenda and Justin's wedding day was one of the more fun weddings I've had the honor of attending. Their friends and family were wonderful and I really believe that a great time was had by all...rain or no rain!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Van-Hairston! It was an honor to capture your special day!
