Heather & Kyle

I had the pleasure of meeting Kyle several years ago...he's a great friend of my brother's and they went to college together! I got to meet Heather a few years later...and one of the first things I remember thinking about her was how great I thought she was for Kyle! Getting to see the two of them interact at gatherings with friends and family, (outside of the typical wedding-related setting I usually meet my couples in) I got to see just how perfect they were for each other...just the cutest and sweetest couple! Luckily for me, Heather and Kyle are into some of the same things I am: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars...so we got along just fine!

Their wedding venue is quickly becoming a favorite of mine...this was my second time back at Limoneira Ranch! Their property is vast and beautiful...so many places for gorgeous portraits! My favorite spots on property are probably the groves or the vintage gas pump...but the bridal suite is a close second! Such dreamy light!

There are so many things that stood out about Heather and Kyle's special day...so many memories! They had several special details that made this day all theirs: Heather's Dad worked for USPS and Heather took the patch off of one of his uniforms and had it sewed into her wedding gown...it was the sweetest touch! And, their Father/Daughter first look not only made me cry with them in the moment, but I tear up looking at the images all over again! Their relationship was so sweet to witness. Kyle is a big fan of The Office...so he and all his groomsmen were wearing The Office t-shirts together during their pre-wedding hang! They also enjoyed the coolest Marvel superhero cookies that Heather had made for them to eat before getting ready! Kyle and Heather are both Nike people...so of course, their choice of wedding footwear were custom-made Nikes with their initials on the back! Their aisle runner for their ceremony might have been my favorite detail...I'm a Star Wars girl so I'm a little biased! It looked like the opening of the Star Wars movies, the way the story crawls up the screen! But hands-down, my absolute favorite part of their wedding day was just spending time with Heather, Kyle and their wedding party! Again, I'm a little biased since the wedding party included my brother, my sister in law and my friends! But they were such a fun, laid back bunch that I felt like I wasn't even working! And they were all so supportive of Heather and Kyle...it really was something great to be a part of!

Heather and Kyle, I am immensely blessed to have met the two of you and I was honored to be a part of your special day! Thank you for including me...Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Barrett!
